I've just received my new UK passport. However, my visa etc is in the old one. Does anyone know if they send you the old one back too?

Cheers.

Nick - I am beginning to think you don't really think these things through!

I am pretty sure I would have known the answer before sending my passport somewhere!

Well, I had to send it off, it was about to expire! I just assumed they would slice off the corner and send it back...now what am I going to do???!!!

Even if they do send it back, I don't think the visa is valid. When I had my working visa for India it was invalid when I renewed and I had to buy a new one.

They send it back, UAE visa should be valid assuming the original passport is in date. However some other countries are not.

Yep, just spoke to them. The original is sent back separately for security reasons!

Just staple both passports together. This is what I have to do.

Your PRO (if he can be bothered) can easily transfer the visa to your new passport.
