Just noticed the taxi app covers Dubai..

Been using Careem for a while and found them to be very good. Happy to give Uber a try, but no complaints so far with Careem. Having to not think about an airport pick up at 5am and knowing I'd not need to queue for a cab when I got back home at 1am the next day makes a big difference to me..

As above, Careem user here and they are good.

That said, a friend uses Uber and they also work.

I have the Uber app but not used it yet, trying it at the weekend to get to a mates birthday so will report back.

Used Careem on a number of occasions for work and pleasure and no complaints.

I use Uber a lot. Very reliable, clean and fragrance free cars. Recommended.

to be fair i have noticed a massive improvement in taxi cleanliness over the past year or so. obviously someone in management has clocked on.

Uber is not for me.

Tried to order a cab for Friday night - it would have taken 45 mins and it was double fare due to being busy (you have to accept the increased cost and it goes up the longer you leave it).

I also don't like that there is no phone number to call, I don't always have data so it's nice to be able to call the office and request instead of doing it online.

Careem all the way.

Always had a great service from Careem and Uber looked like a good option too. I prefer Careem's interface on my mobile to be honest and can see the point of surge pricing on Uber.. Jury is still out for me, but I've got confidence in Careem so that will probably be my first option.
