Can anybody recommend a good private tutor to teach Arabic at home?

My 14 year old son has just started school here and is (unsurprisingly) struggling with the Arabic lessons so I thought I might try and give him some extra help with one to one tutoring at home (Dubai Marina). The lessons would need to be basic Arabic and my wife and I would also be interested in participating.

I've already looked at various websites including wwww.myprivatetutor.ae but always prefer someone to be recommended if at all possible.

Thanks.

What age is it compulsory to at schools these days?

I'm almost certain I stopped at the end of 3rd year and didn't carry it on through my GCSE's.

Mmmm ... interesting comment. I had assumed it would be until he left but will now check. He's Grade 8 and certainly has to do it for this year. That said, I'm still interested in learning some basic Arabic for my own benefit as well as his.

Katie dropped it at the end of year 9, there is/was no requirement to take it through to GCSE as far as I know.
