Just heard of an attempted car theft in The Villas. The young lad who walks the dog has a friend whose house just got broken into and they tried to take the car. Unfortunately for the thieves they neglected to shut te passenger door before reversing down the drive, and ripped the door off on one of the concrete pillars.

Anyways, lets say you find an intruder...can you give thm a lap before calling the BIB?

Joking aside that's not a nice development..... I've always felt completely secure here, never worried if I forgot to lock the car at night or left the house unlocked when I went out.

Really don't want to have to start worrying about break ins and the like here.

rather tenuous reporting there nick.

however if you neglected to give a burglar a pasting i am sure the police would facilitate one if you asked nicely.

Ive heard a few stories and spoke to a few customers who have had cars nicked, albeit normally through organised gangs doesn't tend to be some chancer walking past the car and deciding to have a go.

But bad news its happening at all, fortunately if the police catch them then its still a big deterrent here as im sure they wont be overly nice.

Opportunistic house thieves do seem to be on the increase, well garden stuff actually more accurately, been a spate recently to the FB group for JVT.

Won't be as bad in true gated communities such as Meadows/Springs but I guess it's inevitable to some degree.

I'd like to say my dogs would see off any intruders but they are not particularly fearsome, even for a Shih-tzu and King Charles Cav hehe

My33kg Bulldog has teeth that an Alligator would be proud of....unfortunately, I doubt he'd be bothered to even get up!

My 50kg Akita wouldn't leave enough behind with which to bother the BiB about.
