I've had an ever increasing heated email exchange with a guy who is putting the office rent up my millions, and demanding a late renewal fee and a big agency fee.
We were going back and forth and I was trying to tell him the error of his ways. We both may have got a little excited until he told me that I lacked common "sens"
I simply replied that he was being rude and insulting, and asked if he was intentionally insulting me.

I received a response which contained so many apologies, it was unreal. These were apparently from the bottom of his heart, and he hopes we can remain good friends as I am such a good gentleman. We have never actually met.

So that it. Accuse someone of insulting you and the arrogance and aggression gives way to, well, almost begging to be forgiven.
I'm going to sleep on my next response....but I actually feel sorry for him now.

Good tip, accuse someone of insulting your mother tends to be a good way to get anyone to back down also, but thats hard in E-mail as you need them to write something, much easier in person!

apparently a very good insult is to say that someone grew up in the street. it means that they come from a bad family / broken home. insulting family name / heritage is about as high as it goes here.

Yup...

Also, if it's younger Emiraties, ask them if their mother/father/parents are happy with their children acting in such a matter and that they should be ashamed of themselves.
