Average salary UEA for technical sales

Can anyone indicate what the average annual salary would be for a technical sales engineer selling pumps based out of Sharjah?

Low at a guess. Companies like German Gulf employ Indian tech sales and I'd guess they don't earn much more than AED 8-10k a month.

balls, our security guard makes 8k a month just for standing there!

i can ask a mate who is indian and the head of sales for his company. one thing that gets on my tits out here is the 'how little can we pay this guy' mentality.

Well we are not looking to pay anyone right now but I'm working on a business plan that needs vector verification analysis data in it but isn't paying the little man the minimum a fundamental affect of capitalism.

When we come to hiring, we will take the view "what will give us the maximum return. We'd rather pay AED 200K/ year and get a good candidate who is happy and productive but if we can get the same candidate for 20k less,we will.
