With insurance is it best to shop around or just do it at tasjeel

Anywhere that does online quotes

I've never bothered shopping around. Fir me, speaking to some idiot over the phone, then ending up with the wrong policy, or even no policy, simply isn't worth the few hundred you might save!

I use either Axa or another one called WeBeInsured. Both have been good, and the prices are pretty consistent with each other.

I think Axa has an online quote thing, but it's not as sophisticated as it is in the UK

I have used RSA ever since I got here.
Shop around every year at renewal time but they are always the cheapest.

Daily pro-rata refund when you cancel the policy as well which is excellent.

I pay 2k aed for the Vette and 1600 for the Dodge, both fully comprehensive

Actually, that who I've used sie being here. They phone me a couple of weeks before expiry date, take my card details then email/courier me the policy straight away. So easy.

I've mostly been with RSA and they have always been good. Even with dealing with the accidents that "we" have had.

The "cheap" ones always worry me, you might have a piece of paper for the RTA but in a big accident will they pay up when the should to get you out of gaol !

Used AXA for the last 7 years for the wife's car. They dealt with the accident claim with the other parties insurance when the other party reversed in the car quickly and 5 minutes to renew the insurance, so no reason to change.

Did use Axa, now use Nasco, got a corporate discount through my old employer, can't fault service or price.

Anyone managed to find a company who'll do comprehensive insurance on a car more than 7 years old... my Vette hits 7 later this year so RSA will only renew on a third party basis.

Just a boggo one from Tasjeel.

I had an argument that a Z3 is not a sports car to try and bring the price down but as its on the system as a sports car I had to pay 1500 for the year.

A lot wouldn't touch anything over 7 years old and Bea is double that smile

Lucky man.... the Corvette's been comprehensive for the last 3 years, this year they switched it to third party only without telling me, if I hadn't actually read the new certificate when it arrived I'd still be none the wiser!

Again, really odd - I called AXA and they said no fully comp as over 7 years!!

I've been told that they will insure older cars fully comp but have to get special approval - most agents either don't know or cant be bothered I suspect. RSA for me every time.
