holiday apartments

Have a look at the new Novotel in al barsha.
Quite nice apartments, built- with love- by me.
(I say by me, I basically mean screaming at the workforce for 8 hours a day, constantly, until either so hoarse that beer became a requirement, or just the terminal depression of the situation leading to leaving).

7 Sands in Barsha is right next to Sharaf DG metro station so nice and easy to get around. Not grand, but suited me for a couple of weeks when I first arrived.
Lotus Hotel Apartments in the Marina also ok, but a bit out of the way.
It will be peak season then, so expect the prices to be high. I;d choose somewhere and book it asap..

nuran? bloody hell, can i have job please.
we used to use the grand millennium for newbies and chelsea gardens/towers for those on rotation. now everyone stays at the auris suites in tecom. hence auris suites must be cheap!
I had the policy changed after having to endure the Ziqoo in Disco gardens for a month. Not sure listening to drunken Japanese 'business men' singing and fighting (and god knows what else they were up to in the corridor) at 3 in the morning was doing much to attract the people we wanted! Also getting a Taxi out of DG in the morning is next to impossible...we used to use the grand millennium for newbies and chelsea gardens/towers for those on rotation. now everyone stays at the auris suites in tecom. hence auris suites must be cheap!
We all stayed in Oasis Beach Towers on the Walk at JBR when we first came here (15 X 2 bed apartments for 4 months)
They were great but the traffic in that location currently means that I'm not sure I'd stay there again.
We now put our rotators into the Liwa Heights in JLT, again nice apartments but no on-site bar
The last time I did this for personal reasons the best I found was the Yassat Gloria apartments on SZR near Tecom, they were very well priced and decent quality.
Failing that there are also villas in Springs and other areas that are rented weekly for vacation use.

stil not heard from my mate but he's on one of liz's ships off the coast of oman so it may be a day or two.
where are you living rach? would be easier to recommend something then as i'm sure you have already ound out the traffic here can be a right bugger.
as touched on, i stayed in the grand millenium in tecom for 3 months and it was faultless. lovely staff, first rate service and always a taxi on hand when needed [or the metro is a few mns walk]. my 1 bedder there was bigger than the 2 bed flat we're in now and it also has the benefit of the rather excellent belgian beer cafe on the premises.
