Hi all,

Anyone know a good source of BMW parts in Dubai or Sharjah? M3 needs an alternator!

Cheers,

Matt

Hahaha so does mine. It went last week and they be cooking expensive.

Is it for the 3.0 E36 M3? If so give Ayham at Das a call, think he knows where to get them or has one in the shop

Also try turner motorsports which are based in USA. If you have a shop and ship account, you could work t that way or get them to give you a quote for shipping direct

Another ECS tuning. A lot of guys are raving about them. Good to deal with and very good shipping apparently

Hi Yorky,

My car is at Das right now. Went there to get an insp 2 service quote and it wouldn't start when I tried to leave so I left it there! You're right, they aren't cheap! He reckons 2300 AED!

Where are you going to get your alternator from?

Matt

Really

I have 3 in the shed and I am home next week, you do there are 2 types 1 has an air cooled connection. Downside is I have no luggage room as bring a load of caterham bits back.

They are listed as m3 specific but I think that is due to the output and possibly a more revving engine, at a push a used one from a m5* would work.

If you want cover the shipping I can send you one

Cheers Jason,

How would I know which would fit? It's a 94 3.0.

Problem is, it's currently sitting in their yard so I'd need it fairly soon. If I get the one he can source (2300aed) it'll take 2 weeks to come over from BMW.

Thanks,
