Not sure if there's any interest in this but I've just received details of the new public display days for the Bi-Annual Dubai Airshow.

That's interesting - thanks.
I'll likely be working there for a bit and hoping to wang press pass for photography but if that falls through it's nice to know I can still get in.
There have been lots of talk internally about this being trade only so I'm glad to see they've changed their minds.

Not a complete change of mind, all the static displays and halls are still trade only with the $50 ticket and proof of industry etc required... this is just a grandstand area for the public to watch the flying displays in the middle of the working day!I'll likely be working there for a bit and hoping to wang press pass for photography but if that falls through it's nice to know I can still get in.

SO who has been so far? Popped in for a minute (to Barasti, anyway) yesterday and in and out for the rest of the week while working on events around DWC.
If you want to avoid paying to get in, park at the end of the runway just off the road around 2pm - lots of people parking there, including the Police, all watching the show with their cameras. I did it on Saturday to watch the B1 arrive.

"Do you like our new water feature?"
"No, there was no issue, no water, no flood..."
