Best Steak in Dubai
Discussion
I've always been a huge fan of the Exchange Grill at the Fairmont. Always had a great experience.
Where's your favourite Steakeria!?
We're treating a mate to a splurge as a thank you and while my 'go to' place would be The Exchange, I'm open to ideas.
Needs to be Trade Centre end of town though.

I'm also been a big fan of The Exchange Grill. But I also rate The Rib Room at ET. Outdoor dining at West 14 on the Palm is a very nice ambience, though the service is lazy and the South African maitre d' couldn't accept that his definition of medium rare was in fact a medium. Still, when they get it right, it's actually very good. La Parilla at Jumeirah Beach Hotel are still producing an excellent steak after all these years. I used to go to Rodeo Grill but after one mediocre experience a few years back I stopped. Not sure if they're still any good.

This is the most recent steak place I've tried and I came away very very impressed... not just by the food but also by the ambience, the professionalism of the wait staff, the wine list etc etc. It's not the cheapest (though it is in the Entertainer) but it's a great meal.Other good steak places I've tried:
West 14th and the Echange Grill as already noted.
Ruth's Chris at the Adress DXB Marina - the most professional Matre'D I've come across in DXB
Seafire @ Atlantis.... gets a bad write up sometimes, but I've still had excellent steak here and the service is always good.
Prime 68 @ Marriott Marquis SZR - a new place, still finding its feet a little but fabulous steaks and again a great atmosphere and service.
Fire and Ice in Raffles Hotel at Wafi is very very good (or it was last time I went which was a while ago as it is no longer in the entertainer book - you'd never guess I'm Scottish!).
Also Seafire at Atlantis is excellent(although that doesn't fit your trade centre end of town requirement). I also never understand the bad write ups although it's usually about the ambience being not great as it's so big but that's easily fixed by asking for a table up beside the glass fronted kitchen.
I've had a couple of bad experiences at Ruth's Chris' so never go there anymore.

We ended up in the Exchange last time but think we'll give the Rib Room a try now.
Bit mad really - the wife 'said' she hated beef and the idea of a bit of blood, so I cooked her a proper roast of finest rib-eye instead of chicken a few months back and said eat it or go hungry. Now she can't get enough and wants to try all the steak houses in the city.

Went to Rhodes Twenty10 on Friday night.
Strange really, maybe we'd built it up too much but came away thinking "meh"
3k aed for 7 with 2 bottles of plonk.
Steaks were fine, in fact there was nothing wrong with anything but I've had better elsewhere, it just didn't have that "X" factor for me.

will have to try the rib room. last time i polled the office for best steak i was recommended the rivington at the madinat. it was rubbish and did me no favours with the US contractors i took with me.
went to the oktoberfest at the grand hyatt with jase on friday night. litre steins of pils were good but oh my god the pork knuckle! supreme crackling, perfect pork with proper sauerkraut and so much of it we both left about 2/3 of it on the plate. those pigs must've been huge!
oktoberfest is deffo going in the diary for next year. loads of germans out, brilliant band and a great atmosphere.

I've eaten at Rhodes Mezzanine, Grosvenor House. I thought it was average at best considering the prices he charges.
Ive had better food in your average UK gastropub back home for a fraction of the price.
I find the food in Dubai very hit and miss. The two 'high end' restaurants that stand out food wise on a consistent basis are Zuma and La Petite Maison. In my opinion of course.
That's one thing I miss about living in London. The food scene is absolutely brilliant.

agreed. last time i was in london i went for a gastro meal for one in soho. roasted scallops followed by perfect pork belly, couple of leffes, pudding and all for 30quid. enjoyed it so much i went again on my way back to heathrow!
still haven't tried zuma, it's been on my list since i got here but noone to go with, sob.

Without a doubt the Argentinian in souq al bahar, called Asado.
Not that many people seem to have heard of it? It's got a great atmosphere, a good band normally plays, good bar, good wines and great steak.
It's costly though, but way ahead of the others I have tried here.

West 14 is also another one I like.

There's a nice 'french' steak place in Century village (next to Irish village) which is good for a decent feed, if not super impressive for visiting peeps.
Or there's the steak place in Festival City near to Jamie's Italian which only serves steak and chips - there is no menu - they just ask you how you would like it done.
