Changing the colour of your car - CID approval

Anybody done this themselves recently?

What is the procedure, where do you have to go and what do you have to take with you?

I heard you have to go to the large cop shop on the other side of DXB airport?

If it is there, is it open on a Saturday and if so, what times.

Help greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what's involved if you do it properly beforehand, but I can tell you its not a good idea to change the colour without the necessary NOC from CID and RTA. Ask me how I know.

Trust me I will not change the colour before I get the necessary approvals. I will not put my cash at risk

Changing the colour is relatively simple... just take the car to the CID department as mentioned below. Ask at the counter and you will get access to one of the inner offices and the man on duty will come out with you, look at the car and then give you a piece of paper with the new colour on it.

Not sure about timings, but you're always good to go at between 8 am and 2 pm Sun to Thur.
