So, my guy who works on my car has reached a dead end on my AC woes.

Bit of background, he is probably the most knowledgeable dude on Mustangs in the region, opened his own garage (L&R performance) in DIP a few years back, has done all the mods on mine and serviced it since it came out of the warranty period so if it's stumped him I am at a loss as to where to turn now.

He has 1 guy at Al Tayer he is going to speak today, he has already reached out to the Stang community in the states and drawn a blank.

The issue is as follows, the ac engages when the car turns on, voila cool air. It then reaches whatever pressure/temp it needs to and then clicks off. When it comes to rengage, the AC clutch just clicks on and off and won't stay on = hot air.

He has isoloated both sensors under the engine, they are working fine.

He has changed the complete compressor, pulley, clutch assenbly for a brand new one, same issue.

Swapped the fascia round the ac controls in the car which contains a thermometer or sensor, same issue.

Its not throwing any error codes when OBD is plugged in it just fking refuses to work.

Basically short of pulling the dash out and looking an evaporator he has isolated and then tested or replaced everything that could be causing it without joy.

If any of the technical terms are correct apologies but for him to be stumped having done all that then I don't really know what else to do.

Al Tayer will no doubt try all the above and bill me for it, want to avoide that. If his guy at Al Tayer cannot suggest a fix does anyone know someone who is st hot with AC's?

I don't want a scattergun approach, as you can see we have tried that and got nowhere

Help, I hate relying on Taxis :'(

I don't know if they still exist, but have you tried Ampex on Umm Suqeim St opposite MoE?

Bit of a grubby backstreet garage but they have looked at just about every type of AC there is.

I know I'm going to sound like a stuck record, but give Parc Ferme a try. Alec the lead mechanic there is a auto electronic wizard and ac genius. He's stripped down and repaired over half a dozen Golf ac systems over the past couple of weeks.

Give Motaz a call on 050 456 2083 and he'll sort you out.

Unsure, will check.

Assume that you think it could cause above symptoms?

Sounds Like too much presure or the system thinks
There is to much presure ! Are the fan/s tuning
Or is it overcharged if the gauge readings are ok it's a most
Likely a sensor /presure switch fault hope that helps...

Sensors & pressure switch in the AC loop are fine.

It is the PCM for the car, just trying to source one now without getting bent over on price.

Have spoken to Motaz about my AC issues with the Durango, booked in there next week.
Thanks for the recommendation, I gave him your name hope that's OK?

As with most Indy's I heard a differing view of Parc Ferme!

No worries - glad I could help.

I stand by Motaz's work. He's 100% independent, and a true car guy who's tries his hardest to make a living in a tough market. He stands by the quality of his work and busts his arse harder than most people I know. If you have a problem, talk to him directly.

Well I can't speak to Motaz's work quality yet as I only dropped my car there last night but he's definately a car guy, of that there can be no doubt!!!
