Aircon and Cats Query...

No, not one question about portable aircon unit's for stray cats wondering about DIFC, but two car questions as follows:

1. Anyone got any good recommendations for somewhere to do an aircon system regas and clean/replace the filters etc?

2. Does the RTA test check emissions? Basically, I want to ditch the cats on my car and understood there is no problems with the RTA test here if I do so?

1) I use fast track, gas only though, not filters

2) Yes they do something with emissions, they put a sensor in the exhaust whilst its up in the air, not sure how sensitive it is though, only exhaust mods I've done was after the CAT, had to remove those as it failed test for 'excessive noise'

most garages will do a regas, not many will do the filters and also take care that they don't fk some of the seals. best take it somewhere you already know & trust, or saluki.

not all tasjeel stations are created equally i'm pretty sure my car was not emissions tested last time. PM rich to find out where he takes his mgb, its out near al awir somewhere but 100% does not do the emissions test.

Agree on Shirt's tasjeel comment.

I use Barsha cos I'm lazy, I think Jebel Ali is quite lax in comparison as well.

yap, jebel ali is where i go but not sure if you can get in without a jafza pass. best try through gate 5, just drive slow and wave at the security but don't stop. doesn't work if you're non white though! go on a thursday afternoon 20mins before closing time.
