Hi folks,

Have been asked to help organise a conference and will have people in various hotels needing to get to Academic City, (hotels likely to be in Barsha and the Marina, with some closer to the venue itself).

Anyone know of a reliable firm that could be used to move people to and from the venue? Thinking if I can organise a bus or two from various hotels? Trying to make it easier for the delegates to get around rather than relying on taxis etc?

Cheers,

Simon.

The most reliable bus company in the UAE;

If you're after some smaller cars/executive limo's (not tacky pink Hummers), Hertz offer a great service.

Use Careem - local version of uber. Spoke with the founder this weekend, they have access to 1000 cars in Dubai from lots of companies. Book direct from ur phone or computer and the nearest car is sent to you.

They use Lexus ES350s at a minimum and the drivers are decently dressed, cars clean etc. You can track the driver coming to you etc.

That Careem thing looks great. Was just about to post and ask how everyone is getting too and from the Grand Prix but that may be the answer to transport my knackered and pissed old bones back post Depeche Mode and Muse.

BTW, if you want to give Careem a whirl they're giving every user 2 free rides (upto 100Dhs value) tomorrow. Not to be sniffed at.

Also, they have coverage in Doha, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh too - in case you're travelling and need a car that doesn't smell like a cigarette infested armpit.
