Hi all,

I am in the market for a 2009-2012 GT3 with low kms. If you know anyone then please ask them to contact me or provide their details. Would also consider GT3 RS.
Low kms.. Ideally white, blue... But not essential.
Cash buyer, but would also consider part ex with my Vanquish.

Cheers
Luke

Hi Luke,

Exotic Cars appear to have one, an RS.

Thanks.
Yes, Isaw tthat one, they want 485k for that.... Gooood luck! Not looking to spank that much... Or one with 30kpn the clock anyway.

I wouldn't buy from them I all honesty, they stiffed a mate of mine big time. Just another dealer which convinces me I should set up a dealership here and sell cars to people with real customer service. People like to buy cars from people who are passionate about cars... Not people who couldn' give a toss and ccan't be arsed to get out of their seat to serve people... And know sweet FA about cars.

Hi

I have an absolute mint 2008 GT3, white, chrono..... loaded.

Purchased it in the US in 08 for $115k, shipped it to Europe and it has sat in my collection ever since.

It has 300 miles on it and is as expected mint. I have a C4S Cab as well in the collection.

Been here 2 years was planning to bring over a few cars, if interested pm me and we can talk.

Thanks

Alex

Do you know Paul Denby who now runs A2B? He knows where all the UAE GT3s are stashed and which ones have been crashed.

I took mine off the market, I only put it on speculatively 3 months before spending a wad of notes renewing license, insurance, warranty and service (not that it needed a service, but I did one anyway as I keep it in top condition). Now I've spent AED 20k on it, I'm minded to keep it for another year or two! All I was going to do was buy a GT2 anyway, and I found it very hard to find a great example here also. The dealer cars in Al Awir are all st imports or not looked after with patchy history. It's a minefield.

To be honest, there aren't many GCC spec Gen 1s in the same condition as mine left, the guys that came to view it all fell in love with it but didn't have the money I wanted. They offered reasonable amounts, but I didn't accept any of them. They told me the other cars on the market at that time were all owned by idiots (one guy who was viewing mine nearly got killed when the owner of another example for sale lost the back end during a test drive, was absolutely on the ragged edge on the road this chap was telling me, no mechanical sympathy) or run on shoe string budgets.

If you have a good car, it's wise to keep hold of it, thats what I have learnt when briefly putting mine for sale.

Hope you find a good one mate!

Hi S1mma,

Yes, I saw your car on Dubizzle a while back, very nice example. Am in agreement that most are pretty ropey and have been ragged and not looked after. Par for the course with sports cars here as we well know. I have to sell my Vanquish first, but it should go next month as its in the 100th Anniversary Aston Martin issue of Octane and its spotless. If not, have another chap with a shedload of cars who has an RS I may PX it for.

So..just out of interest, are you still selling yours? Ideally I am looking for a Gen 2 really, just out of interest you know.

Hi Luke, it's not for sale at the moment - but when you sell your Vanquish let me know and I can tell you if the situation is different.

He knows all the road ones as well. You can find him at A2B - number should be somewhere on the net (try the Petrolheads website for local contact details).

For a Gen 1 RS, forget all the dealers. You need to get connected in the UAE Porsche scene. Become a member of the club, go to some trackdays and events, talk to the owners, see who may entertain offers. This will be one of the few ways of finding a good car IMO. I found this helped when I was looking for mine, I got in touch with the club and got a few numbers pointed my way of members maybe looking to sell (but the price had to be right).

Yes, have been in touch with the Porsche Club, as am still a member from when I had my 73 RS Replica. Will touch base with the heads again this week to ask. Thanks mate.
