I've done enough of them to know but I can't remember.

A friend is booking a b'day brunch for the 9th of August, which may be the first day of Eid, will that scupper her plans?

I've just had an invite for saffron, for the same day, so I guess not if they are taking bookings?
That is pure guesswork though.

Oh, I'm sure they'll take bookings if it's dry or not.

What I don't understand though, is how you can all go out and enjoy yourselves when I'll be on a 14 hour flight with a 9 month old? Have you NO feelings?

I think the Mrs will have some sympathy. I'll ask her, just to be sure.

Is Wednesday a dry night? I'm hoping not.

Having just completed a similar trip, I'm sure it will be quite a lot, I will inform Rose to be extra sympathetic.

For sure, a couple of years ago Valentines day was dry. Lots of very expensive meals and reservations for a dry night !

We booked somewhere lovely once, without realising. As soon as the wine menu was refused, we got up and left. Terrible isn't it, that you'd leave a beautiful restaurant simply because you couldn't get alcohol!
Still, I WAS with the wife....

That wasn't Eid though unless you're talking like 15 years ago!

Isn't this at the mercy of the moon sighting committee or something? I'm banking on Wed evening until Thurs evening being dry followed by muchos consumption out on Thurs evening. No doubt that plan will end up being wrong!!

There's a chance that this Eid might be Friday & Saturday, which would be rather boring.

No doubt the Public Sector will still close for at least a week regardless.

Lazy fkers.

Thurs and Sun off for me (well hypothetically, as our other offices will no doubt not give a st and keep the e-mails and calls flowing). Now just need to know what night is dry night!
