Well I had planned to have a nice relaxing weekend and maybe do some sponsorship hunting when I get a phone call last evening asking if I could get to Qatar to run a friends motorbike in the Qatar Championship. So much for me saying the racing season is over....
Not sure how but the wife gave me the green pass and so I am now waiting for the flight to board.
The question is when do I tell the wife there is 1 more round in 2 weeks time?

Lucky you. I spend every Friday baby-sitting and have just managed to put a shade up in the garden, but woke the boy in the process. Now I'm waiting for the 12:30 feed, then it's off to Ace to get some tape to hang some pictures.
Then, tomorrow I'll be taking the dogs out, popping out for McDonalds brekky, then back to wash the cars. Then it's out food shopping.
Rock N Roll....that's me!
Ps - don't say anything to the wife yet. Make out you did such a good job and the race was so successful that you can't possibly abandon them now.

Well that didn't go to plan. The very high winds caused the police the block the road in both directions that you HAVE to take to get to the circuit, we ended up driving across cross country to sneak back onto the main road between the closed entry points.
The continued high winds delayed the bikes sessions where we finally went out at 22:15 for 45m of practice and then qualifying at 23:30. Oh the joys of racing at flood lit circuits.

Chores done. 2nd beer almost done, the boy is about to have a nap for a couple of hours, so I'm in the pool. Not a bad day TBH.
Although, I have offered to cook tonight. Sea Bass with portabello mushrooms and spuds...a la Jamie Oliver.
Oh, and given the price of fish from Spinneys, I'm off to be a fisherman.
