Hi,

Anybody got any idea how quickly an Abu Dhabi visa normally takes to issue (or can be pushed through paying urgent fee's).

My company has just been bought out, we had a good PRO at the old sponsor and he could get a Dubai visa in 2 days. However, with the new company comes a new visa but this time in AD. The new company PRO seems more like normal quality and is already complaining that he doesn't have enough time !@!@$#!%@

I'm fearing that they will do my visa in time but miss the date for the kids and Nanny and then stiff me with the fines and hassle.

Cheers,
Richard B.

Well mine was 9 months, change of sponsor/company ownership half way through really messed things up.

Proccess is a bit different than Dubai, more paperwork but should be doable in a couple of weeks.

I applied last Monday, the visa was issued on Tuesday, transfer (from visit) authorised on Wednesday, medical test confirmed on Thursday, medical on Sunday - now just waiting on medical results then the sticker gets put into my passport. Which should be tomorrow or Thursday. So all in - 2 weeks.

That's with twofour54's tawasol service which is essentially a department of 10 locals in Abu Dhabi who are actually pretty good at their job which is being PROs for all the media companies in twofour54. Paid a little extra for 'urgent' - ie it gets done when it lands on someone's desk instead of going to the bottom of a pile.

So best case with a good PRO is 2 weeks.

Our visa is from Abu dhabi too, I reckon two weeks also. Just had ours done about a month or so ago, mine was done in about 12 days hers indoors was a little longer but only because there was some snafu with her paperwork.

Passport came through this morning, so 8 working days all in.
