I'm guessing this is a non-starter, but do any of the packages / channels have the F1GP coverage?

Mine does - arabic and english, or it did last year. Think it might be the AD sports channels but give them a bell and they can change it within a couple of hours.

Abu Dhabi Sports 6 covers the complete event in English using the BBC commentary.

So far I've watched FP1, FP2 and FP3 and I have Quali recorded to watch later.

I pay an additional 38aed per month to have the English AD Sports channels.

For the amount Du charge for TV they should send David Coulthard to my living room for a lap by lap analysis!

On my OSN package I only get it on Abu Dhabi Sports 2 and in arabic, channel 621 from memory. The arabic is not too bad so long as I have the bbc/espn live texts

I agree, the biggest issue is that they charge the extra mostly because they also carry hundreds of football matches in English.... of zero interest to me... I basically pay 450 AED a year to watch F1 !!

I am lucky cause the satellite in our building gets the German RTL channel who show F1 (always used to watch it on the same channel when I was living in Germany). This way I only need to pay for my internet and landline connection each month.

You can also watch the race live http://www.firstrow1.eu/ . Usually the BBC coverage is streamed (which for the past 3 years meant busting Schumis balls).

Surely a VPN to the UK will allow you to watch it online..? I do that for the MotoGP

Same question but for Etisalat (which is absolutely ste, so no doubt the answer is also no...!)

The BBC iplayer 'highlights' is 2 hours long so that must have most of the race, only problem is my macbook has just packed in, and it won't download to my ipad.

Channel number 508 - Abu Dhabi Sports 6, Looking at the Etisalat site it's an optional package at 37AED per month.

I subscribe to both AD sports and Jazeera as well for Champions League and England games.

Way I look at it is that its the equivalent of 2 pints and it keeps me out of the pub or at least makes me go the pub less!

My internet struggles to cope with streaming with a VPN on. filmon.con is worth a look for streaming live TV with needing to use a VPN

Anyone know if it's the same this year? According to the DU website it should be but my TV guide shows nothing.

Sadly it shows nothing as BEIN Sports now have the rights to F1 in the Middle East until 2019, they seem to have the rights for everything now.

Hmm, guess I'll have to switch from AD sports to BEIN then. BEIN is one of the sports packages on DU but it says nothing about the F1 coverage.

My BeIN Sports 12 guide says the F1 is on now.

It's actually Men's gymnastics, I know the rules have changed a bit but this is frankly ridiculous.

Quali is 10 am tomorrow apparently, lets see..

Spoke to DU on the phone and they were clueless, asked him if they are showing the F1 and he told me to check google. Apparently BEIN might be showing it, so i have switched from AD Sports to BEIN and if it doesn't at least i'll have the football.
