A friend of a friend drove that CLK GTR and has a video up on facebook of a couple of laps. Paddle shift with conventional clutch pedal seemed tricky to master.

I was at this day although I missed the Merc and the McLaren because I only had the morning session booked. All the cars in the photos at the top of this thread (not all the cars on the crank & piston link) are owned by the same guy who I think is a legend for actually bringing them out and letting them loose on the track. I've a few photos myself, the F50, the 911 and brilliantly an original Peter Sellers Morris Cooper, that I'll try and upload over the next couple of days

Track days in Bahrain generally have some decent stuff going around because, apart from the locals, it's the nearest place for Kuwaitis to come and also for a lot of Saudis. The days are really well run by a good, friendly team from the BIC. Only shame is we have to wait until May for the next one because there's some race or something in April...
