last week i went to the rivington grill, wasn't impressed and could've done better myself. what's the current consensus at circa 4-500 a head all in?

West 14 on the Palm

Service and experience in Gaucho is great but I have many better steaks.

Much prefer Assado to Rivington Grill - have never thought it any good.

I'd have thought Burger King would be more the level ;-)

For steak I like the Grand Grill at the Habtour Grand, despite the name it's part of the Meat Co chain.

Burger king only applies if it were my company footing the bill!

They've suggested seafire or the one and only. I'm thinking the brazillian place at JBH or JBR hilton. Churrascolicious.

La Parrilla at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel does great steaks.

I think the Meat Co is average at best.

i could honestly have done better myself than the rivington. same applies to the habtoor grand grill. best steaks i've had in dxb were those served as part of the churrasco at pachanga JBR hilton.

assado and la parilla looking good. also suggested la petite maison and zuma. been wanting to 'do' zuma since i got here.

i am now extremely hungry. had an eppco sarnie and a twix for lunch!

Zuma is Wonderful. Expensive but superb food and surroundings. Try the black cod.

La Petite lovely too. Both restaurants are owned by the same people.

Its in a shopping mall though. I can't stand mall-dining. Very weird.
