best deal I was from Europcar on line - UK site(some 30% less than turning up)
I used Jumeirah Beach Hotel office as it was easy to get to for me.
If you want a 4x4 etc, try Off Road Zone: http://www.offroad-zone.com/our-services/renting-l...

I wouldn't go anywhere nr offroad zone and i'm sure claire's aware of their business ethics.
National always came out cheapest for me, circa 1450 for a figo plus insurance for the month.
You can go cheaper with a 12mth lease but maybe try and negotiate a discount for 3-4mths or whatever.
With national, book online and renew via the main call centre to maintain your online discounted price. Renew via and office and its full hire rate.
Also worth trying different locations for pickup as the ones other than airport and head office are franchised.

Wow..
I bought my 7th Pajero... Solid honest car that was lady owned.. Four brand new Pirelli ATR's indicated it had been chopped in quickly.
First drive felt like the world was falling apart on the brakes... after a bit of direction (Workshop Manager didnt believe me that the rear brakes could cause the vibration) I got the rear calipers overhauled with Mitsi parts... all good.
(My V6 Shogun in UK did exactly the same)
I did have to coach them a bit, but I got a solid/reliable 2006 Pajero with new tyres and brakes for not much money.
They offered a warranty, obviously not worth having from your comments and glad I didnt take it.
...My impression here is that you treat all car dealers with contempt and you wont go far wrong... correct?
