Etisalat Mobile Registration
Discussion
Just a quick heads up if you haven't - like me - registered your Etisalat mobile number, you have 2 days to do so and then they will be cutting you off.
Just spoken to Etisalat and they have confirmed this is the case, even though they did not send me the reminder SMS they said they would.
You can get the form to fill in from etisalat.ae then off to the no doubt mahoosive queues at their office.
To add more woe to this, just realised my visa needs renewing before 2nd Feb... my passport is currently in the UK for a KSA visa and I have trip planned to KSA for the 6th Feb. Life sucks sometimes.

I tried to do this the other day at MoE. Waiting in the queue for 20mins, got to the counter and was then told that somehow my personal number is linked to my Company. They could not "de-link" it where they were and that to do so I would now have to go to one of their Centres! I do not have friggin time to do that - wkers.

I'll believe it when I see it - much like the Emirates ID palava when fines, not being allowed back into the country etc where banded about with much hoopla in the press. A few weeks of chaos at the EID offices with people struggling to get their cards, and at the 11th hour an extension was announced. It took them 3 years to finally implement the fines on late registration.
Can't see 4million+ people's phones being cut off mid-week with no notice.
Anyone remember when the RTA was planning on banning all cars over 10 years old...?
