Hi all,

Ok, so can't take it anymore. Have to have the Triumph Speed Triple here where its gonna get some use, as a pose to sitting in my bro's living room in the UK.

I am thinking of using Bob Collier again as he bought my car in and was excellent. However wanted to ask if anyone else has someone decent. Either Air Freight or Sea Freight. (I dont think I can be arsed with a months wait!)

Any numbers or emails would be great. Thanks.

A mate works for Agility if you want me to ask him for options or does it need to be a specific motorbike courier?

Edit - spoke to him, he can't do it anyway.

For anyone elses info:

Thank you for your enquiry.

Based on you delivering your Triumph motorcycle into our depot near Heathrow (We can also arrange collection for £95 if it helps you) where we will pack into a motorcycle crate and freight by air/ocean up until arrival at the airport/port in Dubai, the price would be as follow’s,

· Air to Dubai: £1095 (Transit time approximately 7 days)

· Ocean to Dubai: £745 (Transit time approximately 5 weeks)

This includes packing, freight, fuel surcharges, documentation, handling and export clearance. You will then need to pay any import and local charges on arrival in Dubai.

We can also arrange insurance to cover loss or damage of your motorcycle during transit. This is based on 1.5% of the bikes value + freight + 10%.

I hope this helps with your planning and please do let me know if you would like any further details at this stage.

Please note that our agent is based in Dubai and they do specialise in vehicle import clearances. Alternatively we can send to an agent of your choice.
Kind Regards

If the local handling agent is Relogulf, then ask them to find someone else. Trust me, don't go there.

If I were you, I'd go for the 'By Air' option - for a couple of hundred quid more, it would be a no brainer for me. I reckon it'd clear quicker through the airport too as they're used to dealing in small items better than via boat. If you choose the boat option your bike will be loaded into a container with lots of other stuff, and could be delayed etc on arrival.

Just check which airport it's going to land at - lots of Cargo is going out through Dubai World Central in the arse end of nowhere now.

Aye, with u on the airfreight. The car from Canada took 3 months after there was an issue with the boat. Flying it! Got email down in price a bit to around 850. Good value .

I've not heard of Bob, but why not stick with him if you've had good experience in the past? A1AutoTransport is another option I've heard good things about--they're headquartered in the U.S., but regularly ship in the UK & Middle East too. The best general guidelines I can give are to contact more than one company, preferably several, so that you can see what prices they offer, if they know what they're doing, etc. Hope this helps.
