It's coming up for its 3rd birthday and on the 28th jan it will be back at the exhibition, big name this year is a celebration of the design house Bertone. So should have some pretty sights to see. Hope for a good show. Maybe see some PHers there.

I'll certainly be along for a look - minus the Vantage this year since it's now sold. Let's hope the traffic isnt as bad but cant see it with the roadworks that are going on just now.

Sadly I've missed it by 2 weeks.
Was in Qatar for the weekend just gone, have to say I really enjoyed it and will be back for sure.

This time I flew, next time I'm taking the 'Vette!

Unfortunately I was only in town from 10am Friday to 4pm Saturday and I had a friend and her daughter with me as well.

I did get my quota of motorised things though, we ended up guests of one of the powerboat teams on the Friday afternoon which was pretty cool!

We were all really taken with Doha and will definately return. I would like to stay in the Torch next time, though staying in the older part of town was pretty cool, it was nice to walk through Souq Waqif in the evening and although it was a little windy, the weather at the weekend was lovely I thought.

The Gulf Times today says the new Arab Lykan hypercar is going to be launched at the show. At 3.5mm USD per car it could be interesting.

The drag racing at the weekend was a pretty good event. Some seriously quick stuff running.

I was competing in the Qatar National Sprint and doing my first track day on Saturday so I didn't get a chance to go down to the drag racing, looked good on the video though.

Never even heard of this, just googled it.

A Lebanese made car with 'Diamond encrusted LED lights and gold-stitched interior leather'

Right!

Was watching the cars arrive today, highlights are the Jaguar F-Type, a nice Brabus SL, plus a whole lot of Audi stuff, but they all look the same so not sure what models exactly.

The entry is restricted to over 12 year olds, so expect the same backlash as last year as families arrive and get angry at the no kids policy, which will apply for some not all.

bit of a waste of time coming to watch to be honest, great fun to compete but not much to look at. I did a trackday with some of the boys the next day and it was amazing fun! You don't have to go 10/10ths and shred your tyres to have a laugh.

can anyone find any info on w motors or who has designed/developed this car? i can only find press blurb which is amusing enough, so a full website should be a great laugh.

If you look at the Qatar motorshow we page you can see the W motor car, it's like a R8 has taken a drunken night with a aventador and the off spring has the ass of a Lamborghini and the face of a R8, it could well be the most expensive kit car produced and for sure it will be as reliable as a Noble and as dangerous at speed as a V8 powered twizzy. Shocking but will enjoy seeing it, designed by Homer Simpson, some say.

Apparently kids can enjoy watching the professional drift outdoor exhibit, have seen this here before and it's not much better than Tesco car park on a Friday night, if you've seen the legend that is Russ Swift then you will find these 'professional' artists to be poor, tame, dull and like many will soon be hoping they mess up.

The real fun will be seeing the excited visitors being spirited drivers repeating the show on the public roads outside and the wrecks sitting on the roadside the next day.

Thanks, I try to keep a sunny disposition and outlook on things.

Was at the show last night, was not as busy as I had thought and although displays were not huge it was a good event, particular highlights the classic cobra and speaking with a salesman on the Porsche stand who openly said the new coxster and gayman are much better deals and drives than all apart from the 911 4S, his honesty was refreshing and on a rare moment I almost felt I could trust a car salesman. The usual suspects on the BMW stand were there and all is then style of the time in Matt or frost finished bodywork, still not sure it's a great look, permanently dusty and dull, a nice pearlescent sparkle does have the light and reflections dancing over the shape of the metal in a manner that is alluring and exciting, perhaps I'm too old and harking back to the days of gold capri's laser editions and racy red lotus esprits.
