Shipping a car from UK to UAE...
Discussion
May have been asked before, however, buried in a barn back in the UK I have my trusty Series 1 Elise in storage, where it has sat for over a year without turning a wheel.
My question is - (a) would a car built primarily of plastic, glue and a prayer survive the extreme temperatures out here without melting, and (b), if so, any one have any experience of bringing anything over? Would it be worth it or should I leave it tucked up in Cornwall feeling sorry for itself? I have seen a few Lotus' knocking around from a distance but they all seem to be Series 2 federal spec cars, presumably better built and with upgraded fluids etc. Obviously a twelve year old Elise isn't exactly classed as exotica but I've started to wonder if it might be quite good fun over here - especially on the dusty on-ramps...
Any thoughts?
