the clubby is having the GRP panels repaired/modded/painted and i have to decide what colour it is going to be.

the cage, interior and wheels are all black so initial thoughts are along the lines of the morgan 3 wheeler. black wings and RAL 6003 olive green with a 2" black stripe around the nose cone. maybe some invasion stripes on the cockpit 'door' area but nothing as full blown as the mog.

having said that i am also feeling mouse grey is fitting for this scheme and is kinda ironic given the mrs thinks the car looks like a mouse!

what say you guys?

drab olive:

mouse grey:

invasion stripes, lends itself to a lateral graphic across the bonnet as well:

mouse isn't too dissimilar to battleship as per your suggestion and the grey may work better with a graphic. i think the bonnet needs a graphic strap of some kind.

Have to admit, I am liking the drab olive myself - very unusual colour.

However, I do think that having black stripes may make it too "dull". Is there any way you can put a little colour into it? Matt silver colour or even pale yellow colour stripes?

Who has some PS skills that could do a rendering?

i have no PS skills at all but i think htere's a simpler, similar program available to download.

i like the red/yellow check stripe saddling the bonnet. there are some red accents elsewhere and red rim tape could be used to add some colour without going ott. i want it to have a reference to the mog / ww2 schemes but not look st and overdone.

also need to buy paint in less than 5l tins. only need 1l of colour and 0.5l black!

p.s I think there's a photoshop thread somewhere where geeky people with too much time would love to do you some renderings.

i've gone with the green/black. i'll see how it looks assembled on the car before starting with any graphics.

Graphics help camera's auto focus.
A nice smooth uniform colour makes it harder for the AutoFocus to track.

Ian has a yellow chequer pattern on his patrol for that very reason.
