Kuwait....yes or no...

Hey,

I was wondering if any of the Kuwait residents could offer advice!

Is it any good? Ie, expat lifestyle. booze etc?

I have a guy contacting me with a final offer of employ out there, starting Jan and wanted to gain any feed back possible...It is a good financial package, but wanted to know do you have to save your party tokens and go to Dubai for weekends to get any laughs??

Kuwait is one of the more conservative Arab states. My understanding is that it is an ok place to live and save cash but that fun is not exactly top of the list.

Pretty much what I've heard.

Somewhere between Qatar and Saudi in terms of social life.

Well, technically that's not true. I was there in 91 but I was too busy shooing out Iraqis at the time to stop and ask the price of anything.

Hearing this 'savo...its Kuwait or Italy.

My preference is Italy, but Kuwait might be good for a year, to get some money built up again.....

No actual experience of Kuwait myself, based on what a mate says who is there once a month I think you've made the right choice!

There wasn't even a nano second! The Italy offer took a little longer to come through....... It's 40 mins from the ski slopes!!!!
