PH trip to Rainbow Sheik's Museum

I've been meaning to visit the museum since I moved here....

Wondered about making it a PH trip, is there any interest?

I remember reading about that Sheikh and his rainbow s-classes YEARS ago. I would be up for a trip.

I went on the way back from camping in Liwa once. It is a deathly boring drive down the world's straightest road - but well worth a wander around. Some of his custom built buggys are very cool.

It is approx 160 Km from Dubai Mall, so should only take two hours max, it will not be open till have 10am at the earliest.

Location wise, I guess maybe the easiest place to meet would be the first service station on the road to AUD once you get past Jebel Ali?

going out fora mate's 30th on friday, so my attendance is purely reliant on my ability to put one foot in front of the other.

del - jeep's in fine fettle after fitting all those bits, thanks again for sorting the shipment. i also thoroughly recommend the place in umm ramool for all things jeep, they sorted my transfer case issue easily and cheaply and all is fine now. we'll have to hit the dunes once yours is back in good health.

ps - seems you've deleted all the UAETCC listings on the wiki!

Looks like I may have to work that day, which is a pain as it means I will not be able to make it.

Mine's back in fine fettle too mate, all the ordered parts fitted perfectly and I save nearly 3000 AED by ordering the way we did..... well up for some sandy stuff somewhen soon.

Wiki wise, I removed all the outdated 2012 stuff, didn't take away anything unless it had already happened.
I'll dig out some more dates for other events today and add them.
