I will be in Dubai for a week in early November - does anyone know if this place is still open?

Thanks in advance

It is - based on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, so will take you about 1 1/2-2hrs to get there.

I've heard varying reports of just how good it really is, like many things in the Middle East they don't realise what a treasure trove their sitting on, so it's not exactly kept in the best condition, poor lighting etc.

Depends what you're after - there's always plenty of tasty metal in town at hotspots if you just want to ogle. Al Awir in Dubai is a good place to waste a few hours looking at the cars on sale.

Thanks.

If people are free in dubai one evening, would be good to day hello in person. A 'sunday service dubai' if you will.

Cheers

It's more weird than good to be honest! For me living in Ab Dabs, it's only 20 mins up the road, and it's worth the journey. It's worth a look for petrol heads for sure. Especially the giant Dodge pickup. And if you're into your American cars, then he has some nice 60s and 70s examples. And there's an assortment of military Humm Vees and forward control Landrovers too. Then, for some reason, there's also a Ford Ka and a standard Austin Mini from the 80s (Mayfair I IIRC). He was/is obviously an eccentric gentleman, but I guess the world is a better place for it smile
