Cannot believe I am starting this topic so early but need some suggestions.

Last 2 years we have had 8 or so people round, collected the food in the morning from JBH and done everything at home, great way of doing it with minimal prep and tidy up.

Domestic situation may have changed by then so exploring options outside the house.

I know Traiteur do a big bash for xmas day, where else has every been and would recommend?

No idea to be honest as I actually like doing the traditional Christmas lunch.

The Irish Village do quite a nice Xmas day meal - went a few years back and it was nice and relaxed.

We've just decided not to head back this year due to the ridonkulous flight costs at the moment so we're staying in and I'm cooking everything from scratch.

We went out for Crimbo lunch last year and it was a bit of a damp squib.

The Villa at Jum. Beach Hotel do a good Xmas lunch right on the beach, looking straight at Burj al Arab. It's a civilised one rather than a 'large' one. Good if family visiting. Or at least it was in Xmas 2010 when I went.
Might try it again this year.
