First sandstorm!

Weirdly experiencing my first sandstorm here in Dubai.

Was thinking the working day was coming to a close then looked at the time and realised was something not right!

Very unusual to watch it slowly swing by then just engulf everything. Like a cloudy day back home, just hotter with a bit of grit in the air!

I have an issue with the excitement of the term sandstorm. All it means (usually) is that it is windy.

And...it plays havoc with my garden!

Yes, that actually does happen.

I have seen wooden boards from around construction sites flying...

Nearly yes, I watched one envelope Media City, rolled in from the Marina, was quite similar to the film.

I saw the film and said "No way, that's too far-fetched, they're never like that, they've just overdone the CGI." Then I saw a proper sandstorm and had to backtrack a bit.
