Recently had the Cayman in at ARM to have its last service and a general fettle before its sold. It was in for a few weeks as I had to replace the windscreen and it took a while to come in. I had a hire Mazda 3 crapbox in the meantime.

Why am I sad? Because the car came back and it's driving better than it ever has. It's been a privilege to get it back after having a 'normal' car for a while. It's just so well put together and so damn 'right'. It hasn't missed a beat, been a hoot on road and even more of one on track. Not a single squeak from inside after five years and apart from the odd tiny stone chip, it looks as good as new.

I'm going to really miss it. Just put the ad up on Dubizzle and I can't say I enjoyed the process frown

I know exactly where you are coming from. It's actually rather strange how emotionally attached we get to our cars.

GLWS though. She will be tough to replace.

Looks like a Caymanera, designed to go head to head with the Z3M Coupe but Porsche forgot they stopped making it!

Unfortunately practical means 4x4 offroadable and easy for the wife to drive.

I know the feeling, felt the same when I sold my Cayman S when leaving the UK to move over here.

I was sans Porsche for about what, 3 months all in? What a ste 3 months that was. First thing I did when I got here was get another Porsche. I was living in a hotel, had no apartment sorted, but had a Porker in the garage.

Practical you say? You know 911's have back seats right, and C4S has 4wd for sand activities?

You know what to do! Get your priorities straight!
