Got in the car the other day and couldn't understand why half my rear view mirror was obscured. Looked behind me and couldn't see anything. Completely baffled. Then realised that the headliner has sagged away from the roof! It's in perfect condition just hanging away. Looking on Porsche forums and it seems to be a common issue for cars in hotter climates.

Anyway, the car is going in for a service and other bits a peices to make sure it's perfect for when I sell it next month and they want AED 3,000 just to fix it!

Bugger that!

Anyone know of somewhere that can do it and do a good job?

Sara Auto will be able to do it - not sure on the cost,

Alternatively, just drive in to Satwa, loads of shops around the area that I am sure can do it.

They sent me to a place just round the corner, my leather door inserts had come loose.

Buggered if I can remember the name though.

As you are selling it, Satwa is probably not a bad shout.

Actually you are right now that I remember. It is literally 2 mins from Sara where they sent me. I am buggered to if I can remember their name.

Sara just quoted AED 1,200 - I'll get one other for cost comparison.

I take it Sara has a reasonable reputation - I don't want any damaged trim when they take the panel out to re-fix.

Yes, afaik one of, if not the best around.

They may just outsource it to this other place and stick a % on top though.

I may have a business card for them lying around my car, I'll have a look later.

They specialise in interiors, had a whole host of brand new AMGs, Ferraris, M cars etc that they were doing complete custom interiors on when they did mine, run by an British Indian dude.

Or try AutoArt - just down the road from Al Nabooda used showroom.

http://www.autoart.ae/

Based on the quality of work they've done in RSPhil's 912, I wouldn't have any qualms on sending any car down there

Not 100% sure to be honest. I know you could spit at the place as it is right next door to Al Ghandi Service Centre, whilst on the other side is Sara Auto care.

Damn, cannot upload an image from google earth.

If you stand facing Al Ghandi Service centre (behind times square), just to the right of the parking area there is a small group of warehouses. There is a small access road next to the parking lot you can walk down. As you walk down the small access road, it should be the first or second warehouse in front of you.

Enco used to be down the alleyway that Sara is in. A tiff between the partners led them to moving to the shed next to Al Ghandi and renaming themselves... shortly after they closed down again and moved out.

Sara do the upholstery themselves now. Autoart is very good as well.
