Im new to the city and the company im working for currently have me in a hotel but that wont be lasting too much longer, does anyone know of any decent websites to find serviced apartments within the city, i,e not holiday specific ones so they dont charge a fortune?

Reason for looking at a serviced one is it will buy me a month or two to get to know the place as I dont want to rush into renting somewhere long term and hating the area!

Where do you work?

TECOM probably has some on the more reasonable end of the scale compared to Marina.

Chilli do you mean Chelsea Tower?

There's also Intercontinental Residences in Festival City, bit closer to the main city centre if you're not looking to be based Marina end.

Quality is superb although they're likely to be pricey.

apparently intercontinental residences are decent.....

where are you working and where are you staying now? is it a room or a suite? if you like it there, speak to the front desk and haggle a deal.

i stayed in a fantastic suite in the grand millennium when i arrived. one of my colleagues extended his stay there by paying for it himself, i think it was around 8k a month.

Friends of mine used to work for InterCon and this is where they lived. There's a very swish private bar on the top floor with it's own jacuzzi.

For me, the Festival City location lets it down, but it really just depends where you need to be. smile

Don't know why that came up three times?

I live in Marsa, but unfortunately not on a commission. It's a great place and L17 and Mezzaluna are two great restaurants/bars.

Thanks for all the replies.

Im working at DFC, just starting to get my head around all the areas! Only been here 8 days or so.

Did check out the intercontinental ones, nice as you say but also too pricey for me at the moment.

Will look into the mentioned ones on Sheikh Zayed and also in Tecom, thanks.

Okay, I work in DFC too.

DIFC - Dubai International Finance Centre - by The Gate building, off SZR.
