thanks to the unique way this place works, online car hire prices are way less than simply walking in to pay, but i need something tonight. anyone know who'll be cheapest, preferably without having to schlep to the airport?

Mrs C has a friendof a friend that can do a brand new Ford Figo (of whatever it's called) for about 1500 a month. My Honda Civic 1.8vvti, with electric windows, a steering wheel, indicators, the lot(!!), costs 2000 a month. Let me know if you need a number.

If it s a long term lease, just buy a pile of sh!te and sell it on afterwards.

chaps, the ford figo is the new budget rental of choice. knocks the tiida out the ring. being indian made the rear bumper is flaking after 9000km but it corners like a proper car and will even downshift if you boot it at 140kph
