You are having a giraffe arn't you! The client is "working" 9am to 2pm, the people fasting in the office are working 9am-3pm, the rest of us are doing 8am-5pm.

I'm happy to stay until 4-5ish simply as the traffic is so much easier.

8 until 2 here, though this year we are staggering it so some are doing 9 - 3 and some 10 - 4

If I ever make it back to DXB I'll be taking the 8 - 2 option.

Supposed to be 9.30 - 4.30 but it's been "hinted" that the ex-pats in the office should be doing their full day frown

Tell them you are quite happy to do it but you will be submitting your invoice for overtime after Eid as per the Ministry of Labour's law.

i suppose that depends if you want to keep your job.

as above, our ramadan hours are 7:30 - 14:00 but you can stay until 4:30 on a voluntary basis to finish your work. none of the expats leave early.

i'm working from home today though, thanks to BA deciding not to put my luggage on the same flight i was on.

Yeah I'm thinking an invoice for overtime would be met with whatever the UAE equivalent is of a P45 (which I believe is instantly being pointed in the direction of the door!).
