It's not famous for it's street food but with so many culters, generally each in their own part of town, there must be some hidden gems when it comes to street food - Good Biriyani, stunning shawarma, great noodles etc.

I like the Shawarma place in Satwa (Chicken is better than 'meat') at Al Mallah and there's a good biriyani i Deira by the clocktower, but where else?

I've got to try this one day. It sounds right up my street.

Cheers. Tried an Indian in Karama the other night and was hugely disappointed - Calicut Paragon. It started off so well with a hammour fillet starter but the rest was just tasteless!

Ravi's has been recommended time and time again - maybe this weekend...

Cheers guys.

Heard nothing but good things about Ravis - could be tempted to head in that direction pre/post a couple of cold beers sometime if anyone is interested..

ravis is great, especially in winter when you can sit outside. i still need to g to the fish place, sounds great.

maybe off bounds to you guys but there are a couple of ace indian restaurants in JAFZA near the accomodation blocks. really authentic and dirt cheap but ask for boneless and it's as good quality meat as you'll fine anywhere.
