Here I am again, having perfected sliding the rollerskate I've realised there's little else fun about it and am now again obsessed by Dubizzle and in 'need' of another car. The cycle is getting shorter - this will be my 7th car in just over three years...

So, perhaps I keep buying the wrong car. I 'know' that perfection within my budget lies in a manual E92 M3 or a manual 997 but I'd need a loan for either of those and I banned myself from getting car loans because...I change cars too often!

Why am I looking at Jag SV8s and Golf Rs? Maybe I should follow Chilli into V8-friged oblivion!

Yours, stuck, Dubai.

i've also found myself back on dubizzle and others and would have a similar budget so watching with interest! there's a lot to be said for chopping and changing out here, lots of interesting stuff for not much cash.

how about an s2000 as a progression from the mx5?

Now that is what I'm talking about! Lovely. I think a bruiser family-friendly saloon is on the cards as it's the best excuse I can think of to explain why I've changed again to the mrs.

That RS4 is lovely..

I've been very impressed with the Lumina SS so far so perhaps worth throwing one of those or a CR8 into the pot to consider?

I was looking at this lower miles one too. They are such epic looking things. Evos and STIs are never on my radar - I was a fan of them around 1997 and an EVO V is about the zenith for me but try finding a non-chav one.

I clicked that link then forgot about it and went into an early presentation and plugged my laptop into the projector - my Director has just asked if I'm a steam fetishist!

the rs4 saloon looks miles better than the 6. hope to run an avant at some point when domesticated life calls.

Much prefer the RS4 avant to the saloon.

On the topic of RS Avants I watched Layer Cake for the millionth time yesterday, the RS6 in that has to be the pinnacle of Audi's RS offerings, awesome car.

I'm going to flog the Cayman soon - it's getting on a bit although it looks in mint condition and I'm going to go back to boring 4x4dom. The wife want to be able to drive whatever we have now she's passed her test and we can't really justify 2 cars at the moment.

Plus, and to be frankly honest, the roads in Duabi are rubbish for a sports car - I can't be bothered to drive to Jebel Hafeet or Musandam as I've done it so many times before.

Perhaps next year I'll look at getting a pure track toy or sharing one with someone for the hell of it.

I sold the 964 because of the miles i was sticking on it, and the daily drive was basically the emirates road, so have changed for something cheap and comfortable.

Strangely, the back problem has cleared up too, so it doesnt say much for old sports seats.

I've often thought this. But sorry to hear you're letting the Porsche go, it looks ace.
