Anyone? I'm thinking Umm Sequum (sp?) to the 311, then turn off at Mirdif and straight into DFC.

The only way I know is straight up SZR and over that big bridge then hang a right and it drops you right in.

six of one, half a dozen of the other I reckon.

If you are Umm Suqeim street side of Al Quoz the yes probably but you will have do all of US Street it as there is no left turn as you come out the side of Al Quoz and it gets bloody busy at that time.

I would probably bite the bullet and come off SZ at Pepsi and go that way.

Fastest route with no traffic would be down the side of Dubai Mall and hook up with Business Bay that way

Why on earth do you have to go at 18:00 - that has got to be the worst possible time to head towards Sharjah way.

ACE does stay open till late if chainsaw shopping or go to the one on SZR

What he said... the only way to go, though be careful where you join Al Khail, I sat for 45 minutes last night in a queue from the Hessa St junction all the way to Umm Suq roundabout, it was clear past that junction though.

Lucky you...It took me an hour to move about 500m, hence I went straight home! Will try it again tonight.

it's roulette on all dubai's roads, i usually go hessa street way with no issue. i think they've closed one of the al quoz junctions so a lot more traffic funneling down to um suquiem

I ended up taking to the sand at the side of the road and doing about 1.5km that way.... many a 4x4 doing the same thing, was fairly amusing watching a local in a blacked out LS400 trying it, getting about 200m before sitting the thing on its sills!!

Would have done but I was giving my pal's daughter and her friend a lift to their school ball and we were already 30 minutes late.... I didn't have a rope and the way he was sitting there revving the nuts off the thing digging it deeper and deeper I doubt it was coming out with just a snatch rope anyway.
