What's with the stickers ?

HI All,

What is with the stickers on the backs of certain cars.

There used to be the eagle, then the coloured finger prints, then the cartoon, now it seems like the smily (or sad) face.

Does it show some sort of local affiliation / familey / wasta.
What is it all about ?

Don't quote me on this but I think its BBM smily faces, nothing more than a trend or a fad, whatever you want to call it. I'm almost certain its nothing significant.

I had a PH smiley on the back of the old Jeep, when RTA inspected it for sale they noted that I should remove the sticker!!
Didn't fail it though, so the sticker's still there!

I heard a rumour that BBM was used by certain cultures here to meet each other for "freindship" ?

plenty of cars had them their pin numbers on the side of their cars during the National day celebrations.

Apparently they write them on scraps of paper and throw them out of car windows at females in KSA

any fad will be jumped on here, but the eagle and the 40yrs cartoon sheikhs are understandable.

i have "never forget that god is great" or somesuch in arabic on the back of the jeep. i'm also considering the eagle. can't hurt for the cops to think an illegally parked car is emirati owned
