Khalifa City A Abu Dhabi

Hi All,

Possibility of a lot of new faces turning up in Abu Dhabi. Does anyone on here live in Khalifa City A or B near Abu Dhabi. If so, What are the studio flats like, are they new build as the last time I was in Abu Dhabi, Khalifa city wasn't even there, and if it was, it was very small.

Any info more than welcome.

All new, all alright but nothing special and you're a decent cab ride away from town. Getting cheap now, which is either a good thing or not...depending on your budget!

Thanks for the info mate, I'm currently up in Saudi but aviation jobs now definate in Abu Dhabi as the recruitment agency has been phoning people up and sending CV's off to ADAT or AMMROC so that they can do tech interviews over the phone.

PS. Where do all the Pistonheaders hang out in Abu Dhabi??

Not seen flats, but a friend used to have a villa in one of them a while ago - so all has probably changed of late!

I used to live nearby in MBZ City - and like Hitch says you're a fair cab ride away from the action.

Where will you be working? It's ideal if you're in Musaffah, but a bit of a trek if you're on the Corniche.

Hi, Things in the early stages at the mo, looks like the recruitment agency are compiling a list of suitable techies then we have to wait for a technical interview over the phone. It maybe Al Dhaffrah airbase or possibly Al Ain but going by the job description & info it could be in one of the hangars at Abu Dhabi Int'national airport.

Have been on GN4u properties and loads of studio apartments in Khalifa city A.

I worked in Abu Dhabi from 1994-97 and the trafiic was bad then, it must be hellish now, so really the closer I am to the airport or an airbase it's better for me.

If you're at the Airport it's ideal - in fact you could also consider living in Dubai (Jebel Ali/Marina end) and commuting down the road.

I would hate an AD-Dubai commute but Marina to the Airport is doable I reckon and has to be considered as an alternative to living in AD

We both still do. Marina to AUH Airport - 45mins at a cruise, 35 mins "pushing it"
