Do it buddy.

We have been hitting the Hawker Markets (street food). They would blow any 5 star Dubai restaurant away. About 4 Singapore dollars per dish. The Tiger beer isn't bad either!

Nice to see the lush greenery too after Dubai.

Will be back again that's for sure.

I am from Singers. Safe, good food, good shopping, efficient and clean and modern transport. It's what Dubai has tried to emulate but to be honest it is still a couple of year behind...

Have a great time!

to be fair i think singapore had a fair head start on dubai!

i will go, aiming to stop off on my next visit to indonesia. food is a massive draw, one thing i was hugely disappointed about dubai was lack of street food.

Any particular reason?

He's done the rat race in London with PWC whilst he was getting qualified, just done a ski season (shagging season) in Whistler and is now travelling round the states by car.

Package is bloody good, he is base is 50% more than mine and he is my 'little brother'

Agree with the street food in Singapore comments, awesome. Not sure I could live there but we had a great holiday.

I think it was the place, rather than the firm. Just didn't do anything for them.

Just did a few days in Sing and will be back and forth fairly regularly for a while...

Not a bad place, a little pricy for beer, plenty of decent food options (I'm not in to street food etc) the humidity was a killer, was nice to see some greenery and rain though.

I'm not sure I'd want to live there, rent prices are horrendous and most people live in apartments (which I can't stand) but for a visit or 3 I'm quite happy about it!

Biggest drawback though is the cost of cars, I met with PHer XJSJohn whilst I was there and the rundown he gave me on car taxation etc horrified me, not to mention that petrol's not far off UK prices.

I think a new Yaris works out at $50,000!

The humidity is oppresive there for sure, we stayed with friends who had a 3 bed villa/townhouse thing, I nearly fell over when he told me what they payed for it. Dubai 3-4 years ago at its peak looked cheap in comparison!

Given that I appear to have a small case of food poisoning / eaten something that really upset my stomach, the last 2 days have been either in bed or on the throne. It is getting serious now as I am almost out of reading material. Still on the flight back to Dubai tonight.....

I will be leaving (again) in mid June - just in time for the lovely weather.

Brisbane is calling, and compared to Qatar - no brainer!
