Where is the best place to take my P&J Breitling Super Ocean to be serviced.

It was last done in 2006 just before Dad died, but now it's starting to lose time rather badly.

I don't want them to replace the outer bezel even though the black has faded off either.

Anyone know of rough costs / lead time as well please..?

Just had a thought about this.. Vaguely remember the dealer that serviced my Seamaster wanted the sight of the original papers when it was serviced. Could just be to put a stamp in the book i guess, but it now needs doing again and I've certainly not got the papers with me.. Would that be necessary? I'm more than a little wary of doing it here to be honest - had a couple of things sent from the UK that have simply never arrived..

Just found this:

http://www.breitling.com/multimedia/pdf/sav/sav-11...

http://www.breitling.com/en/maintenance/retailers-...

Spoke to them and you don't need the papers unless it is under warranty and mine ran out 5 years ago.

There is a 6 week lead time and you get a 1 year warranty.

Mine needs a full overhaul at a cost of 2300 Dhms eek still it's not been touched in 6 years so guess it's due for some TLC.

I just put my Seamaster in for a repair. It had to go to an authorised place, which meant I had to take in to Deira city centre. 1700 and it'll be done in a week....that was 2 weeks ago!
Nom need for certificates or anything.

I have a 76321, they don't let the local guys service the emergency transmitter.

Oooo very nice.

Mine is just a boggo Super Ocean so that's why they can service it I guess.

Will be weird not having it on my wrist seeing as it's never been off it in 6 years.

Stuff my family thoughtfully sent to me in the early weeks of being here.. Nothing significant, but I didn't know it had been sent until they asked me why I never thanked for them for a good luck card..

Does anyone listen out for that signal any more? I've always wanted one of those..

Has happened dozens of times with us. I really wonder where this mountain of stuff ends up.
I tell everyone not to bother anymore.

The satellites don't actively listen any more but search/rescue arcraft do when they are looking for missing persons. Breitling is putting their own satellites up soon though.

Perfect watch for me spending time in Iraq, plus I'l allergic to stainless steel so the Ti case is just what the dermatologist ordered...

I used to do a lot of flying (paragliding mainly) and that was always my excuse for wanting one. Can't really justify it now though..
