Apologies for the random topic but apparently I need a "Solicitor/Legal Executive/Licenced Conveyancer" to witness a signature for me. Rather thin on the ground in this part of the world so if anyone would be kind enough to help me out I will be eternally grateful and repay in gratitude or beer dependent upon your tastes!

i know plenty of lawyers in dub, but doubt any of them will have the right title/bit of paper for your needs.

Thanks Shirt, yes fortunately I know a man at the Embassy, so between him and various other ideas I should be able to find someone. Flying home just to get some paperwork witnessed is a bit profligate even by my standards!

If you get stuck give this lot a call but they are not cheap (even by lawyer standards) and they are not normal private solicitors but they are UK qualified .

Hi, any English qualified lawyer will be able to help you, including Inces referred to above. Believe it or not there are loads of us around...There is usually a statutory fee involved, not much, in the UK it used to be GBP10 or so per document.

There are about 15 English law firms based in the DIFC itself. I am based across the road next to the Fairmont. If you give me your location, I can recommend a firm local to you if you like? Most are based at the top end of SZR though, but we can be found as far as Festival City...

HI Tamago and thanks very much for the advice. Esp re fee. I'm also based next to the Fairmont, in the highly glamorous API Tower. If you know anyone nearby, it would be great and get my UK lawyer off my back chasing me for signed docs!!
