Mark had gearbox issues just after the start so I am assuming that they are either working on the car or Mark is now rat@rsed in a pub somewhere.
The Barkers blew their engine and David Mabbs also had major issues, and today was only day 1.
UPDATE:
Mark (brand new engine blew after 3kms), the Barkers and David Mabbs are all out of the event.

Well that was the quickest DC that Saluki has ever done.
Initial thoughts are that the g'box seized and that put a sudden stop on the engine which went bang
Dave rolled and his engine decided it didn't like being upside down so stopped working.
Ian had something let go from the engine straight through the sump so he was on stop as well...
Absolutely gutted for the lads who put hours and hours of work into the race prep, Mark for getting so close and Jake the navigator, who now has to go back into work for the rest of the week.
Seems that only 14 cars actually made it to the finish (haven't checked since I left work).
Ho hum...that's racing as they say.
