Stuff to do in Dubai

I am in Dubai for a couple of months with work and was wondering if any had any pistonhead type recommendations to check while I am here.

Last race of the season is on at the Dubai Autodrome on April 13th. You will find in with the Triumph team (the only one doing any work on the bikes that is.......)

Do you have your own car or are you relying on taxis?

It's a mix mainly Taxis, tried the metro for a day and the odd use of a car from work

There's a car museum here (www.enam.ae) but you'll need the car for it.

It's the desert classic this week, final day is Friday so you could drive down to Liwa and spectate on that.

if you like old bmws, take a peek in al hai motors on saluhuddin road , garhoud.

they usually have a nice selection of sharknose 5/6/7 series and had a very lovely yellow e21 with alpina bits the last time i was in.

we were talking about going karting this month before the weather gets too much.

Was in Dubai last weekend and I see the rattlesnake has closed down along with The Metropolitan Hotel alongside it? I have a couple of clients who like going there because one of them likes a certain "type" or should that be nationality of lady! Where have they all gone? I`ve dragged him round the York, Seaview and Jules Bar at Le Meridien Airport. Am I missing anywhere? Cheers
