Need a VPN, preferably one that won't completely strangle Du's home broadband.

Thoughts?

Expat Shield connects you to the UK. Probably not the fastest but it is free.

My Private Network
This.

No problems with my du broadband in the marina. Dead easy to set up and use. Costs £5/month.

Viscosity has been thrown in as well, let's you choose your IP.

Also Overplay.net.

I am leaning towards my private at the moment, have read that expatshield throws up loads of Adware

Curious as to what you all use these VPNs for... I've lived out of the UK for nearly 5 years now and have never felt as though I need one.

Am I missing out on something good?

They are useful for access stuff that you cannot, being out of the UK, such as 4OD, I player, certain radio stations, and so on. I'll be using it to watch the F1 on iPlayer.

Ah OK, so basically just for TV and Radio stuff.
Not going to worry about getting one now then, I have Du TV here which gives me more than I ever have time to watch including the F1 in English and I'm not really a radio / pron person.

Disappointed now, thought I was missing out!!
