Anyone fancy a trip out on the good ship 'Plout' (don't urban dictionary that!) next weekend?

A spot of fishing, a few beers, sunning my belly, that type of stuff. Not too far, just once around the World!

Are we talking about Friday? Was planning to go down to Yas to help with the touring cars but now? Let me check with the other 2 in the family to see what they want to do / will let me do.

Gaffer, can I bring your attention to the 16th item on this list.... http://pacificoffshorerigging.com/nautical_superst...

I would also like to point you to item 17 in case you did want to come along hehe

Whistling, rabbits and pasties are not allowed on board.

Shirt, fishing tackle is included. Unfortunately I have no beer but can bring a cool box. Ice is provided by the marina.

i have plenty of beer. still have a crate with ian's name on it too that is in danger should my own supplies dwindle!

reading that list, seems pretty much anything is bad luck at sea.

biggrin

Well if 11 is anything to go by, you might end up with a 17 which would be unlucky wink

Both spilling wine on deck and scantily clad maidens are both supposed to be good. Although I'm not entirely sure of the merits of spilling wine on deck.

Where I am from either whistling, having a pasty or bringing a rabbit on board would pretty-much get you thrown off the local fishing boats.

Anyway, the forecast looks good, although a little 'scorchio'.

For those not entirely sure where the marina is, get yourselves to 2507'00.00N 5508'12.00E

After the last of the apartment towers on the trunk there is a turning on the right with blue Nakheel flags at the marina parking.

Ship sails at 06:00 on Saturday.

Bring beer, suncream, bacon sarnie, live sardines (if you have any).

What about spilling wine on scantily clad maidens? Don't see anything in the rule book against that..

Probably take a rain check on this. SWMBO is going to be in town and probably hopes that I'll be civilised this weekend..

And if anyone is around this Friday, I am heading to Yas Marina for the last race of the season if anyone fancies joining me (just so I don't look like a billy no mates).

Claire,

If I can get the green pass from my OH (currently on my 4th week on the bounce in Oman and off to France next week) I hope to be running Jonathan Mullans DC5. Now who delivers flows in Dubai?

So that's Yorky and Shirt, otherwise known as Master Bates and Seaman Stains.

You could pick me up Yorky, not sure my car will be back in one piece by then....
